    Asignu is an EU-based digital signature platform that allows you to send, sign, and manage documents electronically. It is designed for businesses that want legally valid signatures without complex enterprise software.

    Yes. Asignu supports electronic signatures that are compliant with eIDAS (EU Regulation 910/2014). Documents signed through Asignu are legally valid across all EU member states.

    Asignu is built for small and growing businesses, professional teams, and organisations that want a reliable and compliant way to sign documents digitally, without per-user pricing or unnecessary complexity.

    Asignu supports three signature levels under eIDAS:

    • SES – Simple Electronic Signature
    • AES – Advanced Electronic Signature
    • QES – Qualified Electronic Signature

    Each level offers a different degree of legal assurance.

    SES is an email-based electronic signature.
    It is legally valid and suitable for most everyday business documents.

    SES is included in all Asignu plans by default.

    AES is a cryptographic, certificate-based signature that is tamper-proof and uniquely linked to the signer.

    AES is compliant with eIDAS Article 26 and is recommended for:

    • HR documents
    • Accounting and financial documents
    • Compliance-related use cases

    AES is available as a paid add-on.

    QES is the highest legal signature level under eIDAS and is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature across the EU.

    QES is typically required for:

    • Notarized documents
    • Government contracts
    • Legal proceedings
    • Real estate transactions
    • Powers of attorney

    QES is available as a paid add-on and always includes identity verification.

    The difference lies in the level of identity verification, cryptographic security, and legal assurance.

    • SES: email-based, legally valid, lowest friction
    • AES: certificate-based, tamper-proof, higher assurance
    • QES: identity-verified, highest legal value, equivalent to handwritten signatures

    Asignu lets you choose the level you need per document.

    A1 and A3 refer to certificate types, not signature types.

    • A1: software-based certificates
    • A3: hardware-based certificates (e.g. smart cards or tokens)

    Asignu supports QES flows using A1 or A3 certificates, depending on local legal requirements, via qualified trust service providers.

    No. Asignu does not issue certificates.

    Certificates and identity verification are provided through qualified trust service providers (QTSPs), as required under eIDAS.

    Bank ID is a strong identity verification method using national electronic ID systems, such as:

    • iDIN
    • Chave Móvel Digital
    • SPID
    • itsme

    Bank ID verification is:

    • Optional for AES
    • Mandatory for QES
